Be Aware
In 88% of attack cases, according to Alert Logic, bad guys consolidated the first five phases of the cyber kill chain into a single action, accelerating the process of identifying vulnerable systems and launching attacks. Lockheed Martin developed the cyber kill chain to describe the stages an attacker uses to target and attack a system. The goal is to identify an attack as early as possible in the kill chain to stop or minimize harm.

The more "cyber ready" your business is, the better its overall business outcomes. According to Vodafone, 48% of cyber ready businesses report more than a 5% increase in annual revenue as well as high stakeholder trust levels. Cyber readiness, according to Vodafone, is a mix of cyber operations, cyber strategies, cyber resilience, and understanding of risk, and employee awareness.
