AZ DPS Forensic Images Unit
- Multiagency unit available Monday-Friday and after hours for urgent requests.
- Provide forensic Video/Audio clarification, extraction, on scene support, and anything related to video/audio evidence.
- Provide Facial and Tattoo recognition on unknown subjects for law enforcement investigations.
- Able to search the following databases:
- All Arizona booking images (15.7 million images)
- Arizona driver licenses and identifications (30 million images)
- FBI’s Next Generation Identification (NGI) database (64.7 million Images)
- Arizona Missing and Exploited Children database (9,100 images)
- Tattoo database (1.4 million images, mainly AZ DOC)
- Spotlight database (human sex trafficking only)
- If no lead is developed, requests can be sent to multiple Fusion centers who are part of the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) Multistate Facial Recognition (MS-FR) portal.
- If no lead is developed, can also enter the image into the unsolved database.
